Play as Master Higgins again as you save your girlfriend that's been kidnapped. There are eight islands with multiple stages per island and a boss battle at the end of each. You have the same upgrades found in eggs from the previous game such as an axe and a skateboard but you can also find dinosaur allies with unique attacks and movements including some with the ability to fly. |
|
Good | Bad | - Can save most upgrades between levels
- Dinosaurs are very different from each other
- Dinosaurs offer not only attack but movement differences
- Underwater stages that aren't annoying
| - Not as difficult but still very hard
- Cannot save the skateboard between levels
- Stages are still very similar
- Jumping high requires momentum
- Some awkward egg placement

7 | Adventure Island II is a big improvement over the previous game in the series. It's still very difficult and has some quirky physics but it's definitely a lot more enjoyable than the first game. |
