A hack-and-slash where you play as a hero fighting your way up a tower. You can free allies that will fight along side you and battle against bosses at various points. Chests you find contain keys, health, and sometimes traps.

Good Bad
  • Beautiful graphics
  • Can choose what early level to start at
  • Multiple sidekicks to employ
  • Choice of sidekick is important
  • Slowdown everywhere
  • Lack of depth
  • Lots of cheap hits
  • Many levels feel the same
  • Annoying low health sound
  • Knock back on hits is annoying

5 Magic Sword shows it's arcade origins with cheap deaths and shallow repetive gameplay. It is still fun for short periods but don't go in looking for much.
