Play as an axe wielding barbarian as you fight your way through six levels. Your axe has a strength meter that determines how strong it is against enemies. Each swing depletes the strength to zero but it quickly refills. You can power up your axe for stronger attacks and faster power recharging.

Good Bad
  • Graphics look great
  • Nice music throughout
  • Learning the attack patterns of enemies is critical for success
  • Combat requires more skill than other games like this
  • Lots of health replenishments
  • Foreground graphics can get in the way of seeing enemies
  • Getting knocked into a pit is really, really annoying
  • Weapon doesn't always connect where you expect it to
  • Only three continues
  • Maze level can be frustrating

8 The addition of a strength meter that is spent on each swing of your weapon makes the combat a lot more interesting and requires more skill than your typical hack and slash. The strength meter quickly restores, but just make sure to not accidentally play with rapid fire turned on.
